Attending meetings

All residents are welcome and indeed encouraged to attend any council meetings!

The Town Council meets eleven times a year on the third Monday of the month (not August). Meetings are held in The Old Library, Knockhundred Row, GU29 9DQ and begin at 7 p.m.

In addition the Committees of the Council meet regularly. The Planning Committee meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in The Old Library, the Community Care Committee meets after the Planning Committee on the fourth Monday and the Finance and General Purposes Committee meets after the close of the Planning Committee on the second Monday of the month. The public is also welcome at Committee meetings.

The dates of meetings for the current year are published here.

Anyone who has a particular issue they wish to raise with the Council may speak with a Councillor directly.

The Town Council office in The Old Library is open to the public between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays when anyone may call in without an appointment. If these times are not convenient please contact the Clerk to arrange a mutually convenient time.

The minutes of Council and Committee meetings are all published on this website.  They are also available from the Clerk or in the Midhurst Library.
