Midhurst Carnival - Monday August 27th

Celebrating 100 years of Midhurst!

This year's Midhurst Carnival takes place on August Bank Holiday (27th August), which is the last day of the 10 day MADhurst Festival. It starts at 12 noon from the Grange Car Park and ends at the MADhurst Showground. Bands include the Barulho Samba Band from Brighton and the Sussex Steel Band from Bognor, who will join other bands and groups from Midhurst and elsewhere. The theme for this year celebrates what has made Midhurst special over the 100 years since the end of 1st World War and the beginning of Women's suffrage. Children 11 or under taking part in the Carnival will have the chance to put their name in a draw with the prize of turning on the lights at this year's Midhurst Christmas Street party, which takes place on Friday 7th December. All are welcome to join the parade. If you want more info or want to join in the fun please contact Cllr Rev David Coote (MTC Carnival Organiser) on or ring 01730 816766.
