Council grants

The Council distributes grants annually to local clubs and organisations working for the benefit of the Midhurst Community.

Each year a panel of Councillors meets to consider applications and distribute grants to local groups providing services for Midhurst residents.

The guidelines by which the applications are assessed have been determined as follows:

  • Proposal should demonstrate a clear benefit to the Midhurst community
  • Proposal should be specific so there is no doubt what the grant will finance
  • Applicants must submit a copy of their most recent accounts
  • For projects which will benefit the wider area the applicant should be able to demonstrate that there will be a benefit for Midhurst charge payers and that this will be the major part of the project
  • Applicants should list other sources of funding which have been approached and the amount of grant received from those sources

The Grant Application Form can be downloaded below.  It is also available from The Town Clerk, The Old Library, Knockhundred Row, Midhurst.  Call 01730 816953.
