Annual Town Meeting Chairman’s Awards

The annual town meeting was held on 12th May 2022, with many in attendance.

The main issues raised by residents was the speed that cars and motorbikes travel along Knockhundred Row, Church Hill and along South Street past the South Pond.

A large number attended the first face-to-face annual town meeting since 2019
Denise Mordle was awarded the Chairman’s award for her work with both Ukraine Sunflower Aid and as the manager of Cancer Research
Adrian Moore was awarded the Chairman’s Award for his work with the Midhurst Community Land Trust

Colin Hughes was awarded the Chairman’s Award for his services to the Midhurst Youth Trust and Rother Valley Together
Peter Davies was awarded the Chairman’s Award for his services to local football
Digby Furneaux was awarded the Chairman’s Award for founding the Ukraine Sunflower Aid

Jane Hooper was awarded the Chairman’s Award for her work as a school crossing patrol guard for 25 years.
The Bill Godfrey award was presented by the daughters of Bill Godfrey, to Andy Miles and Will Balcombe
Alyson Smith was awarded the Chairman’s Award for her beautiful crochet creations that she places on the post boxes

Hannah Burton gave a talk about the Ukraine Sunflower Aid and their continued work.
