Rev David Coote was co-opted to the town council in April 2012. He moved to Midhurst on retirement as a Methodist minister in 2010. Before ministry he was a quantity surveyor and has wide experience of both church and community life. He is a director of the Midhurst Community Land Trust and of Whitmore Vale Housing Association accommodation and supported living for people with learning disabilities. He is active in Midhurst Methodist Church and in the wider life of the Methodist Church.
David is Chair of the Planning Committee and Council representative on the Midhurst Community Transport Group.
David is keen for the council to do what it can to enable Midhurst to continue to be an attractive and commercially vibrant town along with the development of a thriving, caring and harmonious community life.
