Gordon McAra

“A resident of Midhurst for over 35 years, Gordon is interested in planning and townscape. He is a member of the Planning and Infrastructure Committee.  A former Justice of the Peace, professionally he worked in the investment and communications industries. Gordon was District Councillor for Midhurst, retiring in 2023 after 12 years’ service and was also County Councillor for Midhurst 2013-17. He is a director of Midhurst Community Land Trust which is currently developing affordable housing for the town and surrounding area. Commenting on being a member of the Town Council he said, “Midhurst is a brilliant place, busy, beautiful and bright, it’s a real pleasure to work on its behalf”
